A little about me...
I was born in Hamilton and moved to Huntley before my dad moved us to auckland as he travelled up to the big smoke for work. I was 7 when we moved in to a 2 storey 6 bedroom place in Papakura Auckland. Along with dad my little sister, Uncle and my 4 cousins. This was our new home. It was new and exciting and growing up with my cousins was AMAZING. This is where my love for the out doors started. Although the house was big, outside was our playground.we did everything together sports and athletics, skateboarding, making ramps fixing bikes trying to drown each other in the pool or at the beach it was all go.
Growing up I was rugby mad. I knew it all when it came to rugby and always questioned why Byron Kelleher wasn’t the all blacks 9 over Justin Marshall? I swear i should have been coach haha. What I didn’t know and quickly found out through my own involvement with sport was hard work was the base to any success.
A few things have changed since then (I’m no longer being drowned or trying to drown my cousins) and although the all blacks dream is over, Ive found a new love for my own personal health and well being. after suffering a stress fracture in my lower spine- L5 lumber to be exact (sounds worse than it is) I had to make a positive life style change through dieting, appropriate rehab A LOT of hard work and discipline. I have managed to overcome that. More importantly Im excited and look forward to carrying on this lifestyle with my partner Laura.
In January 2014 I was proud to tell family and friends of my achievement in gaining my national certificate in carpentry. I quickly became licensed and a sole trader all with in a week of this. I carried on project managing and running building crews with the company I had previously done my apprenticeship at. In august 2016 I formed Deca construction with my business partner Jay. Who shared the same passion and vision in helping people achieve there dream home as I do. We have the skill set and 20+ years combined experience in the trade we would love the opportunity to make your dream home a reality.
For any queries on your dream home, sports updates or any dieting and nutrition tips I’d love to hear from you.
